Ecuador: Wikileaks' Assange seeking asylum

(AP) QUITO, Ecuador - Ecuador's foreign minister says Wilikeaks chief Julian Assange has taken refuge in the South American nation's embassy in London and is seeking political asylum.

Foreign Minister Ricardo Patino says Ecuador is weighing the request.

The move comes less than a week after Britain's Supreme Court rejected Assange's bid to reopen his extradition case.

Assange is wanted for questioning in Sweden after two women accused him of sexual misconduct during a visit to the country in mid-2010.

His legal struggle to stay in Britain has dragged on for the better part of two years, clouding his website's work exposing the world's secrets.

2. He maintains physical and emotional distance

Does he often break eye contact, even in private? Or withhold sharing personal details about his life? On the physical and emotional levels, a guy who will not share just doesn’t want to go too deep. That can be fine for a fling, but it’s not worth making an emotional investment on your part. If you have had your fun, it’s time to move on to brighter horizons.

3. He never comes over to your house

Men don’t like to go out of their way — especially if they are not that into you. A guy who likes you wants to make efforts to show you are special to him. A guy can disagree with your way of seeing the world and still care. If all he does is disrespectfully disregard your perspective when communicating, he likely doesn’t think much of you. You don’t want to be with someone who can’t treat you nicely, especially when you are simply talking. Next!

6. He only sees you after midnight

It’s hard if you really like someone to open your eyes and admit to yourself that to him, you are a booty call. If you can handle that, more power to you. But don’t expect this relationship to go anywhere. If you want more from a man, it’s time to search elsewhere.

7. He won’t let you leave things at his house

If you are at his place often, a guy who is into you will be happy to let you stow essentials there. But if someone you are frequently dating won’t even let you leave a toothbrush at his house he is either a) an obsessive compulsive neat freak, or b) trying to hide you from other women. In either case, you might want to distance yourself.

8. He attends major events without you

Friend’s house party? Parents’ anniversary dinner? Maybe even his own birthday? Sometimes a man wants to maintain his independence. And at other times he wants to ensure that you don’t get too involved in his life so he can move on any time. If he never wants you around at a time of life that’s meaningful, you don’t mean that much to him. You also have better ways to spend your time — with family and friends who really care.

9. He refuses to make future plans with you — short- or long-term

Does this guy squeeze you into the corners of his life? Refuse to plan weekends away? Keep his schedule open weeks in advance? If he only makes last-minute plans with you, while cramming in other activities with friends, he is just not that into you. Sorry, but you deserve better.

10. He flakes out on plans you do have at the last minute

This is another clear sign that he does not respect you or your time. Make room in your life for someone who does.

11. He’s already involved with someone else

This man might say he loves you, but if he is seriously involved with another women, he can’t really be giving you his all. He is a man divided, so how into you could he be? Worse, even if he did leave his mate for you, he has lied to her. He will likely lie to you. You don’t want that. Stay strong and carry on to another man.

12. He doesn’t seem that interested in intimacy

If your sex life with dude is little to nothing, he is basically saying that he can do without you. This is rude, frustrating, and a little cruel. You don’t need that. Do what you’ve got to do for you, and find that man who makes you feel desirable.

13. He pulls a disappearing act

When you don’t see a man for days, weeks or months at a time without explanation, he is just not that into you. He might be seeing other people, or simply doesn’t want to spend his time with you. If you aren’t seen as life-enhancing by this man, take the time to find someone who cherishes you. Your time, energy and love are worth it.

Israeli Police Round Up African Female Migrant Naked

The treatment of Africans in Diaspora has gone beyond what many call inhuman. AFP captured this picture of a naked African female migrant described as a prostitute in a series of raids by Israel’s immigration police aimed at rounding up and deporting illegal African immigrants. The scene was recorded on Tuesday near Levinsky Park, in the Mediterranean city of Tel Aviv, where thousands of migrants reside.

Nigerian student posing as ‘gay’ to SCAM jailed 20 years

Justice Mohammed L. Shuaibu of the Federal High Court, sitting in Kaduna has sentenced an undergraduate of the University of Ilorin, Imonina Kingsley, 25, to 20 years imprisonment on a four count charge of impersonation, possession of fraudulent documents and attempt to obtain money by false pretences preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

One of the four-count charge for which he was sent to jail reads: “That you, Imonina Kingsley “M” on or about 4th April 2008 at Ilorin, Kwara state within the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court did obtain by false pretence the sum of one Thousand US Dollars ($1000) from one Mr. Christopher De Troy through the use of a scam letter via your mail box thomasduke4luv@yahoo.comandthereby committed an offence contrary to Section 8(a) and punishable under Section 1(3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related Offences Act 2006”.

Kingsley, who is to spend five years on each of the four count charges gave his address as at the time of his arrest as Rubby Hostel, Tipper Garage, Tanke Ilorin, Kwara State.

He hails from Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta state.

The suspect who was arrested on April 4, 2008, duringa special operation code-named, Operation Cyber Storm1 at Wave Network Net Cyber Café located along Pipeline Road, Tanke, Ilorin, Kwara State, used the false identity of a Mr. Thomas Duke, a supposed gay from the United Kingdom with the email address given as thomasduke4luv@yahoo.com to send fraudulent mails with intent to defraud the unsuspecting victims.

In other instances, he also claimed to be one Muyiwa Akanbi, a Beninoise and Mary Jone.

In his confessional statement, Kingsley admitted that the email address: thomasduke4luv@yahoo.combelongs to him and that he is into the “business” to make money and pay his fees at the University of Ilorin , Kwara State where he was studying Geology and Mineral Sciences.

He also confessed that on February 12th, 2008, he sent an e-mail to Luis Barco, attaching a photograph of an unknown man which he downloaded from the internet and claimed to be a gay by the name Muyiwa Akanbi.

At another time, he mailed a message and presented himself to one Mr. Andrew Corrigan as a UK- born gay but based in Africa .

Another of his victim is Mr. Christopher De Troy of America , whom he hoodwinked into parting with $1,000 via Western Union when he presented himself as a gay from the Republic of Benin .

In another development, the EFCC has secured a conviction in the case involving Jacob Chinenye Isintume a.k.a. Prince Williams Mbeki who was charged to court on a three count charge of unlawful possession of documents of false pretence.

Justice L. Akanbi on Wednesday June 13th 2012 at the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt , Rivers State , convicted and sentenced Jacob Chinenye Isintume to seven years imprisonment without an option of fine, on two out of the three count charges preferred against him.

Isintume was arrested on January 2nd, 2012, at Ocabik Planet Hotel, off Stadium Road , Port Harcourt , Rivers State , by officers of the Intelligence Detachment Headquarters, JTF Operation Restore Hope.

At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of a laptop computer with various forged documents stored in it, as well as a super-imposed image of himself on pictures of the former United States President, Mr. George W. Bush and former British Prime Minister Mr. Tony Blair.

Also, Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court sitting in Asaba, Delta State , on 14 June 2012, convicted and sentenced Paul Omokaro and Johnson Obi to three years imprisonment on each of a two count charge of conspiracy and illegal dealing in petroleum products.

They were however given an option of N180, 000.00 (one hundred and eighty thousand naira) fines on each count.

The court also ordered that the truck and the product they were arrested with be forfeited to the Federal Government.

Omokaro and Obi were arrested at Bomadi Army check-point in Delta State in a Truck conveying three Gee Pee tanks and some jerry cans containing 6,000 litres of automotive gas oil.

60 Year Old Homosexual Man Lynched In Yobe State

A 60 year old man alleged to be a homosexual was lynched by angry mob in Yelwa Ward in Yola.

The 60 year old man was suspected to have subjected a 20 year old boy to indecent acts for years, which has left him with a strange sickness.

The deceased identified as Hassan Buba, a resident of Yelwa Ward in Yola North Local Government, according to sources, admitted of having canal knowledge of his victim for over four years.

Eyewitness account disclosed to Vanguard in Yola that the Late Hassan Buba met his untimely death when his victim confessed to his parents that his unending ailment was as a result sexual encounter with the old man.

It was at this junction that the deceased was invited to the victim’s family house where he admitted to having long standing sexual relationship with the boy.

The deceased equally confessed to using supernatural means to lure the boy into the act and to prevent him from exposing the act.

Piqued by the shocking revelations, the father of the boy identified as Shuaibu alongside irate youths pounced on the confessed homosexual.

He was beaten to a state of coma and abandoned by the roadside close to where the incident happened.

Police from the Jimeta Division headquarter took the suspect homosexual to the Yola Specialist Hospital where he died before medical attention was administered on him.

Adamawa State police Command Spokesman Nemuel Yoila (ASP) confirmed the incident, but, he however disclosed that the matter has not yet been officially reported to the headquarters from the Divisional Headquarters.

Gay couple caught having sex behind church building, stoned to death

Two gay men were attacked by a mob after they were caught having sex in Kayole estate in Kenya. The two men were beaten by the mob at night as they were caught in the act by passersby. One managed to escape while the other died after being stoned by a crowd of people.

According to sources, the two were food vendors in Kayole in a make shift kiosk in the sprawling estate. The deceased was the cook at the kiosk while the one who managed to escape was charged with packing and handling of the food. Identity Kenya confirmed that the deceased's first name was Kamau.

It is said the two had 'been enjoying prolonged stares for month and the deceased made the first move.' None knew the other was gay though they both identified as gay. The two are said to have agreed to meet up behind the Catholic CHURCH building in Soweto estate at 8pm on the fateful day. From there, sources say, they began to have sex. The area is described as 'deserted with bushes and a dumping site.'

In the darkness, the two were caught with passersby as they were having sex and they were beaten up after a confrontation. Later, a crowd milled around and started to stone the two men amidst insults.

The survivor is said to have been hit in the back but managed to escape as the crowd grew and bayed for their blood. The survivor is said to be in critical condition after the beating.

'His arms are broken and he is coughing blood and he has internal bleeding,' according to a source who requested anonymity and who was familiar with the case.

The deceased – Kamau – it is said, was held down and beaten and later stoned to death. His body was found dumped at the dump site next to where they were caught. He had suffered severe head and body injuries.

Local police were called in the morning to retrieve the body that was taken to the City Mortuary. Report say he was buried a week later. Kayole estate is a sprawling estate with a growing slum influence. The area is densely populated with the outlawed Mungiki sect adherents who target residents and extort money. They also dish out 'justice' to perpetrators of violence, disturbance or marital chaos.

The Mungiki are also alleged to have targeted effeminate men in the past with the most recent case being two gay men who were confronted by Mungiki men, abducted and locked in an building under construction as they asked for money to let them go.

Penis Tattoo Blamed for Permanent Erection

A 21-year-old Iranian man now suffers from a permanent erection after getting a tattoo on his penis, according to a report of his case.

The man had the Persian phrase “borow be salaamat,” meaning “good luck with your journeys,” tattooed on his penis. He also had the letter M, the first letter of his girlfriend’s first name, tattooed on it, according to the report. 

His condition is medically known as priapism, which is said to occur when an erection is not caused by sexual stimulation and lasts longer than four hours. The condition most commonly happens in boys ages 5 to 10, and men ages 20 to 50. The case report, published Jan. 3 in the 

Tattoo troubles

A tattoo artist created the design with a handheld needle, according to the report. After the tattooing, the man bled from tissue deep within the penis, and experienced pain for eight days. His penis then became semi-erect, 24 hours per day.

When he visited the doctors, his erection had been ongoing for almost three months. The doctors conducted numerous tests to rule out other possible causes, such as a urinary tract infection, leukemia or syphilis. They determined that the tattooing was probably to blame, and suggested the needle may have been inserted too deeply.

The doctors determined that blood was still flowing in and out of the man’s penis, so they diagnosed him with a nonischemic priapism. This occurs when blood enters the penis faster than it can go out, leaving the penis permanently erect, due to the increased pressure. An ischemic priapism, in which blood is no longer flowing, is a much more serious condition, and can cause severe damage if not treated.

Treatments

Doctors recommended that the man undergo a shunt procedure to drain excess blood. But the shunt did not work.

According to the report, the man did not wish to undergo additional surgery because he can still have sexual intercourse and he is not in pain. He also does not regret the tattoo, the report said. 

The doctors do not recommend penile tattooing, according to the study.
