Wife of Oyo State Governor, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, has challenged women in the country to participate in socio-economic and political activities, and get actively involved in decision-making processes to make Nigeria better.
Mrs. Ajimobi spoke yesterday at an event to mark the 2012 International Women’s Day in Ibadan.
She said: “Nigerian women, who are mothers of today, should set aside the cultural barriers that bind them; they should be dynamic and courageous, enterprising, motherly and agents of positive changes in the society.
“As women, we now have the ball in our courts and the opportunities to hold credible offices and be of considerable influence in governance.’’
