You Can Be The Next Big Thing In Nollywood

Rather than roam the streets in search of white collar jobs, youths in the country have been charged to explore the opportunities in the movie industry to create employment for themselves.
This advice was given by Comrade Kamal Bashua, chairman, Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area, during the presentation of 50 talent hunt forms to youths in his area.
The presentation was part of activities that marked his administration’s 100 Days in office.
Speaking during the presentation, the council chairman said: “I’m appealing to the youths that are in search of employment, to go into entertainment; there are lots of opportunities in the sector through which you too can become employers of labour.
“I charge you to discover your talents instead of looking for scarce jobs; explore the opportunity in the entertainment world, especially the Nollywood that is now a source of income for this country.” Unquote.

Find in your region, office of Actors Guild of Nigeria, register with them and participate in their activities, like auditioning, seminars etc. You can also make a little investment on yourself by registering with any private acting school in town and acquire the basic knowledge you need to launch your career in acting.

Nigerians are natural actors and actresses and with little brush-up on yourself you can be the next big thing in Nollywood.
